The latest Jetta model has LED light bars at both the front and rear
The new VS8 uses VW's familiar MQB platform and has a 1.4-liter engine. Jetta will sell the new model alongside the VS7 and several other models. Chinese sales of the new model are expected to start later this year. For most people in the West, the Jetta nameplate is tied almost entirely to Volkswagen’s long-running, somewhat understated sedan. In China , though, the story is a little different. Since 2019, Jetta has existed as its own standalone brand under the FAW -Volkswagen joint venture.
The SUV's front grille is perhaps the highlight of the exterior styling. Painted to match the rest of the body, it extends neatly across the fascia with a simple cross-hatch pattern. Flanking the grille are modestly sized headlights connected by a thin LED light bar. Below, gloss black air curtains add a modern touch to the lower front bumper. The side profile of the VS8 is uninspiring, although the tapered rear side windows and D-pillars do add a little drama.
