Montgomery, Alabama
The annual Bridge Crossing Jubilee kicks off — and Black History Month wraps up — with a day of activities and announcements.
“We’re just so proud that the Vice President will be here. We’re so proud that the Attorney General will be here,” said BCJ Co-Founder Hank Sanders. “The highest law enforcement person in the entire country, and one of the highest in the entire world, and a person who has so much to do with voting rights laws and making sure that we still have voting rights,” said Sanders.
“These people are coming to Selma including the Vice President and the Attorney General because of the history made by people who will never be in the history book,” said BCJ Co-Founder Faya Toure.
