A private jet owned by Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil collided with another jet at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona on Monday, resulting in injuries to four people and the loss of one life. According to Neil's representative, Worrick Robinson IV, the singer's Learjet 35A was attempting to land at the airport when it veered off the runway and crashed into a stationary Gulfstream 200 business jet.
The Associated Press (AP) reported that the arriving jet veered off the runway and collided with the Gulfstream 200 jet, which was parked on private property. Kelli Kuester, aviation planning and outreach coordinator at Scottsdale Airport, stated that it appeared the left main landing gear of the arriving jet malfunctioned, leading to the collision. Scottsdale Fire Department Capt. Dave Folio confirmed that two individuals injured in the collision were transported to trauma centers, with one in stable condition at a hospital. He also disclosed that emergency responders were working to recover the body of the person killed in the crash. Scottsdale Airport is a prominent hub for jets traveling to and from the Phoenix area, particularly during significant sporting events. The incident is currently under investigation by authorities.
