Moving to the Ribble Valley was the "best decision" Nigel has ever made. He's vowed that, despite not being born here, he will be buried here.He might be one of the most fervent campaigners for his constituency but there is one issue which continues to rile him. The proliferation of new housing estates which has got to the point where Nigel says "enough is enough".
And he's not the only one. Maureen Baxter, who has lived in the village since she was born more than 60 years ago, despairs at what has become of her beloved Whalley. David Houghton moved to Whalley 12 years ago. He saw it as the ideal retirement location but is now becoming increasingly frustrated at the number of new houses.
