The situation quickly turned violent, with fans brawling with and throwing bottles and other items at one another, as well as innocent bystanders and responding NYPD officers. Cenat didn’t have a permit and was eventually charged with inciting a riot and unlawful assembly, but Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg announced May 7 he wasCenat caused chaos in Union Square in August after he announced he was giving away a PS5 video game console.The live streamer issued a public apology and paid $55,000 to the Union Square Partnership, Inc., according to Bragg.
