“Vic was honoured that she would pay tribute to her like that, as Nicola knew that comparisons would be made – it shows they both want to put Brooklyn first. This isn’t the first time Nicola has worn something similar to Victoria, but this is the most obvious statement yet and it cements her place as part of Brand Beckham.”
Nicola – whose directorial debut Lola was released last month – later cleared this up in an interview with her husband, saying, “I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a fewmonths down the line, realised that her atelier couldn’t do it, so I had to pick another dress. She didn’t say you can’t wear it – I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it.” Brooklyn added that “everyone gets along”, and Nicola went one step further in another interview, stating, “It’s not a feud”.
We’re told, “It hasn’t been the easiest of relationships, but things between Victoria and Nicola are the best they’ve ever been and it’s having a positive effect on all the family. They’re very similar people and are both ambitious, which is what caused the issues in the first place. But they’ve talked things through, and while they won’t always see eye- to-eye, there is a lot of mutual respect between them.
