Spurs' Devin Vassell, Tre Jones cleared to play Thursday night

SAN ANTONIO - The starting backcourt of shooting guard Devin Vassell and point guard Tre Jones will be available to play when the Spurs host Indiana on Thursday night at the AT&T Center, a team spokesman said after shootaround.
Vassell has missed 25 games in a row since last playing in a loss at Brooklyn. He underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee in New York on Jan. 11 and hasn't played since Jan. 2."It is a great feeling seeing those guys get back to the court," Spurs center Zach Collins said after shootaround."Just to have Devin back tonight is going to be huge. He was scoring very well for us and being a leader for us on the court. Selfishly, we missed him very much.
“Obviously, this is a big year for me, and missing time is tough," Vassell said."I am a big part of the team. It is hard to sit there and watch a lot of these games knowing that I can help.” Thursday's game marks the Spurs' return to the AT&T Center after going 1-8 on their rodeo trip. They are 15-47 overall after beating Utah 102-94 on Tuesday to snap a club-record 16-game losing streak.
Even if Vassell returns against the Pacers, the Spurs will still be shorthanded with Isaiah Roby , Romeo Langford and Khem Birch listed as out on Wednesday's injury report.Johnson and Branham suffered their injuries late against the Jazz. Jones has missed the last five games in a row.
