A January car crash killed Georgia offensive lineman and former Paramus Catholic star Devin Willock.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitutions reports that Carter first told the police he was nearly a mile away when the fatal crash happened, then said he was behind the other vehicle and could see its taillights, and then said he was alongside the car when it crashed.
The initial police report came out the week of the crash. It included the following details, according to the Associated Press: - Excessive speed on a road with a 40 mph limit was one of the primary causes of the crash. Police investigators said the 2021 Ford Expedition “failed to negotiate a left curve, resulting in the vehicle striking the curb with its front passenger tire and leaving the roadway on the west shoulder.”
“This caused the vehicle to rotate counter-clockwise prior to achieving final rest against an apartment building,” the report said, adding that a vehicle parked in front of a unit also was struck by the out-of-control SUV.
