The actress and frequent lifestyle contributor on “The Drew Barrymore Show” recently released a memoir called “Getting Naked,” in which she discusses, in detail, what her breasts look like after multiple surgeries. “I mean, if you read the book, you’ll know that my boobs are deformed, and I talk very extensively and graphically about how deformed they are,” she said during a live conversation at the 92nd Street Y in New York City. Bertinelli, who had four surgeries in 2024, admitted she once showed Barrymore her naked torso, at which point the “50 First Dates” actress said, “Oh yeah, that’s bad.” Maybe not the response you typically want when you show someone your body, but Bertinelli appreciated the honesty and felt she could trust Barrymore more, knowing she would be honest. In her memoir, which came out on March 10, Bertinelli revealed that she initially got breast implants in the late 1980s after feeling self-conscious, but opted to get the implants removed in 2024. “I liked it for a little while and then started to hate it," she told. "At a certain point, I had gained and lost so much weight that my boobs were just ... I felt like they were down to my belly button. I was like, ‘I just want my small boobs back.” Unfortunately, getting her pre-implant body back didn’t go as planned. “The look on my doctor's face when he finally saw me made me think, ‘Oh s---. I guess I should have come in earlier.’ And he took everything out , and then my breast became infected and started to cave in on itself. It became a crater,” she revealed.
