Less than 72 hours after notching the program’s first postseason win in San Antonio, the Roadrunners struggled to keep pace with a Cowgirls team that hadn’t played since March 11, falling behind 26-8 at the end of the first quarter. Wyoming stretched the lead as large as 26 points before halftime and led by 20 or more through the third quarter.
with 28 points on 11-of-20 shooting in 29 minutes, including 18 of the Roadrunners’ 21 points during the third quarter. Sidney Love netted 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting with a team-high six rebounds, but no other appeared in the postseason, earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament in 2009 and 2008.
