Free, on-demand shuttle will be available to UTSA students and the public starting Monday.
A free, on-demand electric shuttle service is heading downtown this spring, part of a pilot program from the University of Texas at San Antonio and Centro San Antonio. Starting Monday, riders can hop on “The Little Runner” to travel in the area around UTSA’s downtown campuses. Modeled after the transit service on UTSA’s main campus called “The Runner,” the new downtown shuttles will operate between the Downtown Campus, San Pedro I and Southwest Campus.
The shuttles were designed to make transit easier for UTSA students, but members of the public are welcome to board at a stop or call a shuttle to their location by phone or on the eCabs mobile app. Fully electric and emission-free, The Little Runner is part of an effort to meet sustainability goals for the campus and downtown as a whole.
