Multiple firefighting teams from Utah are preparing to travel to California to help combat the ongoing wildfires that have ravaged the state. The crews will depart Thursday morning under a state-to-state mutual aid agreement.

Crews will depart from the Maverik Center around 7 a.m. Thursday to provide assistance under a state-to-state mutual aid agreement. “You just want to do whatever you can to help,” Lang said. “Because you know they’re having really, really long, difficult days.”“California has had some major fires over the years, and this is on par with what we’ve been able to support in the past,” Lang said.
