TheHague Vogelaar berkata, beberapa juruterbang dan anak kapal Malaysia Airlines dijemput untuk mendengar rakaman daripada kotak hitam itu bagi membantu siasatan.
Penyiasat kanan penerbangan Gijsbert Vogelaar berkata, kotak hitam itu satu bukti yang amat penting kerana mengandungi maklumat untuk membantu pihak lembaga dalam siasatan untuk mengenal pasti punca pesawat itu terhempas.
“Kemudian kami dibantu oleh seorang lagi kapten Malaysia Airlines untuk mendengar perbualan rakaman itu kerana beliau sendiri mengenali juruterbang terbabit. Sementara itu, seorang anggota lembaga itu, Marjolein van Asselt berkata, hasil siasatan mereka tidak boleh digunakan sebagai bukti dalam perbicaraan MH17 dan ahli lembaga tidak boleh dipanggil sebagai saksi pakar dalam prosiding perbicaraan.
“Laporan kami dan hasil siasatan kami tidak boleh digunakan di dalam perbicaraan. Kami berada di sini bukannya untuk dipersalahkan atau sebagai liabiliti,” katanya.
