There are a lot volunteers who are making the US Women's Open at the Lancaster Country Club run smoothly - we spoke to one of them who came all the way from Scotland to be at the event.
REGINA. THAT’S RIGHT CAITLIN. AND REMEMBER YESTERDAY WHEN I WAS TELLING YOU THAT VOLUNTEER HOURS REALLY MAKE THIS THIS EVENT RUN SMOOTHLY AND THERE’S 1500 VOLUNTEERS HERE AND THEY WORK. SO HARD FROM DAY TO NIGHT TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING IS RUNNING SMOOTH. AND I GOT A CHANCE TO MEET SOME AWESOME FANS THAT TURNED INTO VOLUNTEERS ALL THE WAY FROM SCOTLAND. Lawson said she is a golfer back home in Scotland, but the courses are quite different from the LCC's Flynn Course. Lawson also shared a common Gaelic word with us on WGAL News 8 Today — slàinte mhath , which means,"Cheers."Play is scheduled to begin at 6:45 a.m. from both the first and 10th tees. The last groups are scheduled to begin play at 2:42 p.m. from both the first and 10th tees.Championship Rounds 3 & 4
The first starting time will be determined by the number of players who make the cut at the conclusion of the second round . Generally, the first pairing begins play from the first tee between 8-9 a.m.; the last pairing for Saturday will start from the first tee at approximately 3 p.m.; the last pairing for Sunday will start from the first tee at approximately 2:30 p.m.
