MANILA - The United States has donated some P54.8 million worth of supplies to the Bureau of Fire Protection, its embassy in Manila said Tuesday.
The supplies will aid the BFP, which is engaged in decontamination activities against COVID-19, in fulfilling its mandate as the country's chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear response agency.
The US Defense Threat Reduction Agency is also assisting the BFP and other Philippine agencies in developing its counter-weapons of mass destruction capabilities, the embassy said.
