Early on Wednesday, Coliban Water and the Department of Health issued an urgent advisory, saying residents in Kyneton in the Macedon Ranges should boil their drinking water until further notice. On Tuesday night, a water main burst in Rennick Ave, resulting in low pressure through the system, compromising the safety of the supply.“Coliban Water advises customers to bring water to a rolling boil before being used by heating the water until a continuous and rapid stream of air-bubbles is produced from the bottom of a pan or kettle,” a statement from Coliban Water read.
