Do take them with a grain of salt iOS17 TechNave

We still have a long way to go for Apple's annual WWDC event in June, but we also got a couple of reports of what we could expect from the upcoming iOS 17 update. Below are just some rumours that we have heard so far.

So first up, perhaps the most popular feature but rumours have it that iOS 17 could allow sideloading apps. It could only be applicable to Europe regions, though, as this is in line with the European New Digital Markets Act that will go into effect next year. Another popular one would be the new revamped Control Centre, which doesn't have much information but sources say it could let users edit the quick settings they want the most.

Next, a Twitter user claimed that the iOS 17 could be launching active widgets. Active widgets are to be placed on the Lock and Home screens, giving interaction for iPhone users. Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman also noted that the Find My and Wallet apps could have new enhancements, and finally, a new Journaling app may be released too.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the Journaling app is integrated into the Health app via the iOS 17 update. It's said that the app would analyse the user's well-being on a day, such as how much time is spent at home and other places. Apple is also looking at how to detect users' physical proximity to other people, affecting their mental health.

That's about it, but what do you think about these rumoured iOS 17 features? Is any one of them that you're looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
