Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) At least a dozen vehicles were broken into early Wednesday morning on the University of Rochester’s River Campus.

Rochester police said they apprehended a 15- and 16-year-old for damaging a Kia in the lot. Both were charged with criminal mischief, issued appearance tickets for family court and released to a family member.Davis added that she believes crimes like these can be difficult to prevent. In response, the U of R said its public safety department is taking steps to address the vandalism and thefts in campus parking areas.
