Universal Parks and Resorts announced that it's developing a whole new theme park 'unlike any other in the world.' 'The entire area is intended to have a completely different look, feel, and scale than Universal’s existing parks,' the company said.
The proposed park will sit on 97 acres of newly acquired land in Frisco, Texas, outside Dallas and have a regional audience in mind.
“We think North Texas is the perfect place to launch this unique park for families given its growing popularity within this part of the country," Page Thompson, president of New Ventures for Universal Parks and Resorts, said in aThe park will be much smaller than Universal's other parks, but the company said "it will still carry the same quality as Universal's other larger resort destinations.
