SAA staff have offered to take a two-month 49% pay cut in a bid to save the airline, unions say.The majority of unions representing SAA workers have rejected the business rescue practitioners' proposal to wind down the airline.
The unions, including the SAA Pilots’ Association , the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa and the South African Cabin Crew Association , said their members had offered to cut their salaries by up to 49% for two months.
