Dariel Castillo, 28, arrested after allegedly stabbing a stranger in the back
Dariel Castillo, 28 – who has four prior arrests – was charged with assault for allegedly stabbing a 51-year-old man in the Broadway-Lafayette hub around 5:10 a.m. Jan. 28, cops said. Castillo allegedly started a fight with the victim for unknown reasons on the steps of the station before turning violent — repeatedly plunging the blade into his back, police said.
Castillo, of East Harlem, was ordered held on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond during his Thursday morning arraignment, online court records show. His most recent prior arrest was for a domestic violence assault in November, and he’s also been nabbed for petit larceny, evading the subway fare and criminal possession of a weapon, cops said.
