Umno sec-gen to meet ROS over no-contest motion

The Umno general assembly has passed a motion agreeing that the party's top two post shall be uncontested in the coming polls. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 21, 2023.

UMNO secretary-general Ahmad Maslan and the party’s lawyer will meet the Registrar of Societies to clear the air over a no-contest motion for the party’s top two posts. Ahmad said the party representatives will explain to the ROS that the motion was passed in accordance with the Umno constitution at the Umno general assembly last weekend.
