UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak received applause for defining a woman because common sense is “not all so common” anymore, says writer and podcaster Evelyn Rae.\n\nHer remarks come after the Prime Minister announced “a man is a man; a woman is a woman” during his party conference on Wednesday.\n\nMs Rae said a “good question” to ask is what it says about the current state of the world when a politician makes news headlines for stating a “biological fact”.\n\n“Of course this isn’t a great moment of revelation,” she told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.\n\n“It’s nothing new – we all know it to be true.\n\n“But I think it’s remarkable that we have a politician that’s publicly affirmed a truth that’d upset a lot of people.”\n
