And good news for fans shut out of tickets this fall: The band recently announced the addition of 11 new concert dates in January and February, including Feb. 10, the night before Las Vegas hosts Super Bowl LVIII. However it came to be, the result was the GenX “Born to Run,” a game-changing sonic template that exploded through the speakers with darker anthems, dripping irony and brutal heartbreak. Considering these dates take place in Las Vegas, 20th century Sin City kings are front and center at the beginning of a raucous “Until The End of the World.” In addition to Bono’s banter featuring an Old Blue Eyes swagger, a circle video of recently married Elvis Presley and bride Priscilla is shown before disarming lightning and cracking thunder takes the audience to the end of the world.
While Phish and Harry Styles have been rumored, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder was at both early October shows along with Lady Gaga and Maroon 5′s Adam Levine. .
