U.K. set for another royal wedding as Princess Beatrice gets engaged

The eldest daughter of Princess Andrew is ninth in line to the throne.

The U.K. is preparing for another royal wedding after Princess Beatrice, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, got engaged to property businessman Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.Thursday that Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi became engaged earlier this month during a weekend away in Italy."We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement," Beatrice and her new fiancé said in a statement.

Mapelli Mozzi is the son of Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, a former British alpine skier who competed in the 1972 Winter Olympics. "We are truly delighted about Edoardo and Beatrice's engagement. Our family has known Beatrice for most of her life. Edo and Beatrice are made for each other, and their happiness and love for each other is there for all to see," said Mapelli Mozzi's parents, Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi and Nikki Williams-Ellis."They share an incredibly strong and united bond, their marriage will only strengthen what is already a wonderful relationship.
