A 15-year-old boy was fatally shot in Brooklyn while another 16-year-old was wounded in the same building. A third teen was shot in the leg in Queens, less than an hour later. Police are investigating both cases.

Authorities in New York City are investigating two separate shootings that occurred less than an hour apart on Tuesday, leaving a 15-year-old boy dead and two other teenagers wounded. The first incident took place around 3:33 p.m. at an apartment building located at 80 East 93rd Street in East Flatbush, Brooklyn . Responding officers discovered a 15-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the head in the building's lobby.

A 16-year-old boy was also found on the third floor with a gunshot wound to the right shoulder. It is currently unclear if the two teenagers shot each other or if there are additional suspects involved.Approximately 35 minutes earlier, at 2:54 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg by an unknown assailant inside a residence on 122nd Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. Police are actively investigating both shootings, but suspects remain at large in both cases.
