The fire broke out just before 11 p.m. Monday at a home off South San Dario Avenue near West Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard. Fire officials said a female caller reported she was trapped inside a closet after becoming separated from her husband.
When crews arrived, they encountered heavy fire coming from the home. An iron fence and burglar bars hindered firefighters as they worked to gain access and attack the flames.Once inside, firefighters located both residents and pulled them from the burning home.
