Two juveniles from Naperville, Illinois, were apprehended after allegedly breaking into Drippy's Smoke Shop and stealing vape products. Both teenagers face felony and misdemeanor charges.

Two Naperville teenagers are facing felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly breaking into a vape shop on Sunday. Authorities say the juveniles, ages 14 and 15, were caught less than an hour after the burglary at Drippy's Smoke Shop on North Aurora Road. Police responded to a burglary alarm at the store around 1:07 a.m. and found the front glass window shattered.

According to investigators, the teens threw a rock at the window to gain entry and stole an unknown amount of vape products before taking off. Officers located the teens walking near the store about 40 minutes later. Both reportedly fled on foot when approached but were taken into custody after a brief chase. 'The allegations that two young boys broke into a retail establishment at one o’clock in the morning are very concerning,' DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in a statement. On Monday, both juveniles appeared in court where they were ordered to home detention with electronic monitoring. They are charged with one count of burglary, a Class 2 felony, and one count of misdemeanor criminal damage to property. Their next court appearance is set for Jan. 27, 2025
