The helicopter crashed into an empty lot surrounded by businesses in Rowland at around 11:30 a.m. on March 25, 2022.Cellphone footage captured the helicopter spinning out of control in the sky near an area surrounded by businesses.Witness Joseph Kasper, told WFAA that the helicopter went down about 40 feet away from him while he was working at a nearby mechanic shop.
Kasper said he saw the tail rotor blade appear to break off in mid-air, sending the aircraft plummeting.“I saw the helicopter coming down,” Fabio Sanches Jelezoglo told WFAA. “I heard a noise and when I looked up the helicopter was coming down and the tail was off.”FOX 4 Dallas-Fort Worth The exact cause of the crash remains unclear.
