Four North Texas communities win Keep Texas Beautiful honors

Grapevine, Allen, Irving and Rowlett were recognized by the statewide organization, which partners with the Texas Department of Transportation.

The four North Texas communities recently received statewide Governor’s Community Achievement Awards .

The nods are from Keep Texas Beautiful, in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation , who have awarded the communities for “their outstanding overall efforts to keep their communities beautiful,”The GCAA program has recognized outstanding communities since 1969, with TxDOT providing landscaping award funding since 1985.

The North Texas cities will be honored June 27-29 at Keep Texas Beautiful’s Annual Conference in Austin.
