BREAKING Met Eireann issue 24-hour weather warning for two counties as Ireland faces washout
Cork and Waterford residents are being warned of severe rainfall on Tuesday via a status yellow weather warning, while the rest of the country will also see heavy showers sweep across as we head into Wednesday.

It advises these people to take preventative action. The overall national forecast, issued by Met Eireann this morning, reads: "Today, heavy showers or longer spells of rain will spread northwards to all areas through the day with some isolated thunderstorms and spot flooding possible, especially in the south.
