Former Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary and senatorial candidate Erwin Tulfo pledged to provide financial assistance to the Negros Island Region if elected in the upcoming May 12 elections. Tulfo, accompanied by ACT-CIS Partylist candidate Edvic Yap, met with local officials, including Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez, and other officials from the Third District. He was also a guest at the Dinagsa Festival in Cadiz City.
Tulfo emphasized that assistance for NIR could be allocated through various government agencies, such as the Department of Public Works and Highways, once he becomes a senator. He also highlighted the 'genuine' service and 'Action Agad' approach that has helped him top recent senatorial surveys. Survey results show Tulfo leading among senatorial aspirants, with his brother Ben Tulfo also securing a spot in the top 12.
