President Donald Trump urged Republican lawmakers on Monday not to "worry about Easter" and to stay in Washington to vote on a bill tying Department of Homeland Security funding to voter identification requirements in the SAVE Act. "I'm tying Homeland Security into voter identification, with picture, and proof of citizenship in order to vote,” Trump said during a “Memphis Safe Task Force” roundtable. “Those two items are the most important thing having to do with homeland security, so it should be part of the Homeland Security bill.” “You don’t have to take a fast vote. Airports are beginning to feel the strain, with hours-long wait times reported. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have been deployed to at least 14 airports to assist with operations.
