Trump announced that his administration has reached agreements with drugmakers Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk that would lower the price of some GLP-1 weight loss medications. President Donald Trump on Thursday posted that Thanksgiving dinner would be cheaper under his administration than the Biden administration. “2025 Thanksgiving dinner under Trump is 25% lower than 2024 Thanksgiving dinner under Biden, according to Walmart,” Trump wrote on TRUTH Social. The White House put out a report from Wells Fargo that a typical Thanksgiving feast is about three percent cheaper than 2024. “It’s proof that under President Trump’s leadership, America is winning the war on high prices — even as Democrats grind the country to a halt with their deranged, reckless government shutdown,” The Rapid Response 47 X page shared that the CEO of Walmart that prices for a Thanksgiving dinner was 25% less than last year. The page was hit with a community note that states, “Missing context. The 2025 Walmart Thanksgiving meal contains 15 items while the 2024 meal contained 21 items. Additionally, most of the brand name items in the 2024 meal were replaced with Great Value items.” The Rapid Response page doubled down on the claim and said the CEO of Walmart said the price was 25% cheaper.“My cost are lower than the Democrats on everything, especially oil and gas!” Trump’s post concluded. “So the Democrats “affordability” issue is DEAD!
