Despite the events in Minnesota, DHS won't rule out ICE presence at Super Bowl

Now, with less than two weeks left until the Super Bowl, where he’s expected to perform during halftime, Trump officials aren’t ruling out ICE being present at The Big Game.
Despite the recent deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti by ICE and Border Patrol officers in Minnesota, DHS has no plans to back off of Super Bowl LX. “DHS is committed to working with our local and federal partners to ensure the Super Bowl is safe for everyone involved, as we do with every major sporting event, including the World Cup,” McLaughlin said, via TMZ Sports. “Our mission remains unchanged.” While the assistant secretary appeared to sidestep the question, a prior comment suggests otherwise. In an October interview, Corey Lewandowski — who ”We will not disclose future operations or discuss personnel," McLaughlin added. “Super Bowl security will entail a whole of government response conducted in-line with the U.S. Constitution.“The real reason might be because he’s not a fan of the Super Bowl’s pre-game and half-time performers — Bad Bunny and Green Day, two of his harshest critics. “I’m anti-them,” Trump said, via The Athletic. “I think it’s a terrible choice.
