Donald Trump attacked special counsel Jack Smith and Judge Tanya Chutkan over the public release of documents in his election interference case.
Donald Trump called the federal judge presiding over his criminal election interference case in Washington, D.C.,"the most evil person."
"They're going to release something else, and always before the election," Trump said."You know, they want to do it before the election. So election interference." In an order Thursday, Chutkan rejected the argument by Trump's lawyers that the documents should be released after November's presidential election, where the Republican faces Democratic nominee
"If the court withheld information that the public otherwise had a right to access solely because of the potential political consequences of releasing it, that withholding could itself constitute — or appear to be election interference," Chutkan wrote.
