A tree trimming company employee is hospitalized after being shot during a noise dispute with a resident in Schaumburg, according to police.
The incident happened at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of South Braintree. When police arrived, they provided first aid to the tree trimmer, employed with Davey Tree, before taking him to an area hospital for treatment.The company sent this statement to FOX 32 in response to the shooting: "We were horrified and devastated to learn of the shooting of a Davey Tree employee at a job site in Schaumburg , Illinois.
Our focus is on the health of our employee who was transported to the hospital. Davey Tree will be cooperating with authorities and thanks them for their quick response and service toward keeping our communities safe."Authorities believe the man involved in the shooting is armed and barricaded. Residents near the location are asked to remain inside their homes for their safety. Police are still working to resolve the incident and road closures are still in place.
