When Toyota delivered its State of the Motoring Industry address earlier in January, the automaker revealed several new and refreshed models to arrive locally in 2023. These include the all-new Crown, Fortuner, Urban Cruiser, and Vitz.? It was clearly the most significant omission on the list of new models.Toyota broke the news earlier on Friday that the powerful, stylish, agile hot hatch has finally been confirmed.

Toyota says pricing, detailed specifications, and model line-up for the GR Corolla will be confirmed closer to launch timing. TSAM also confirms that this model will be offered in limited quantities and that distribution will only be via GR-focused dealerships.Currently, the GR Yaris is priced at R791 900, and the GR86 from R712 100. The GR Supra has three models in the local line-up, with the"cheapest" model coming in from R1 155 900.
