Tropical moisture is surging behind a warm front, and torrential downpours and street flooding are likely as it collides with the line of storms coming in from North Texas. Due to the heavy rain potential, areas near and north of the Interstate 10 corridor have been placed on a Flood Watch until 7 a.m. Friday. Three to six inches of rain will be common in this flood watch area, with isolated spots seeing between six and 12 inches.As of 2:45 p.m., Thursday, there is about a 30% chance you'll be near a storm with severe winds, a 15% for severe hail, and a 5% chance you'll be near a storm that could produce a tornado.
