CIUDAD DE MÉXICO (AP) — La tormenta tropical Norma se formó el martes frente a la costa oeste de México en el océano Pacífico, y el Centro Nacional de Huracanes de Estados Unidos dijo que es probable que adquiera fuerza de huracán y amenace al destino turístico de Los Cabos, en el extremo sur de la península de Baja California.
Norma podría impactar Los Cabos, conformados por San José del Cabo y Cabo San Lucas, el fin de semana. El martes, Norma tenía vientos de 65 kilómetros por hora , pero podría fortalecerse hasta alcanzar vientos de 168 km/h para el fin de semana.
La tormenta se ubicaba a 1.110 kilómetros al sur-sureste de Cabo San Lucas, y se movía hacia el oeste-noroeste a 17 km/h , informó el Centro Nacional de Huracanes. Sin embargo, se tiene previsto que la tormenta siga una trayectoria que la lleve hacia el norte en los próximos días.
