Rochester, N.Y. — There's been a recent uptick of young athletes getting Tommy John surgery to address overuse injuries, but local experts say there are ways the injuries can be prevented.
"You lay it all out their for coaches, teammates — everyone — and that can be a lot of pressure on your body," Reina said., explained that there has been an increase in arm injuries due to younger athletes overworking their bodies year-round.
