In other incidents, police were called in from neighboring departments to disband two wedding parties still refusing to leave the AC Marriott bar at Pinecrest around 1:30 a.m.First responders were called to a home for an 18-month-old boy whose hand was stuck in a shower door hinge around 5 p.m. Aug. 19. The toddler’s hand was not bleeding and rescuers started by trying to take the shower door off its hinges.

The child’s hand was freed in less than five minutes and he appeared to be able to move all of his fingers, with the parents transporting him on their own for further medical evaluation.Pinecrest security called from the AC Marriott hotel reporting someone in the bar refusing to leave at 1:21 a.m. Aug. 20 -- along with about 100 people from two wedding parties. They were reportedly not being loud, but were just refusing to vacate.

Pinecrest security called about two customers, believed to have been at Firebirds, who were skipping out on their bill at 9:24 p.m. Aug. 20. They were identified in a Volkswagen in front of the establishment and agreed to pay up within about 10 minutes without further incident.A caller reported at 4:09 p.m. Aug. 20 that phones were pinging for both her son and his father at Pinecrest -- possibly in violation of a protection order filed against the father.

Upon further investigation, police determined the boy was no longer on the property and the caller was advised to contact Garfield Heights police.A driver was stopped and advised about causing a disturbance at Pinecrest due to his “exhibition of speed” in his Dodge at 3:04 p.m. Aug. 20. He was then told to leave for the day.
