A resident reported that neighbors on Pebblebrook Lane were having a large party around 3 p.m. Aug. 17 with about 40 people attending, at least some of whom were in the caller’s woods. They then realized they had responded to Strawberry Lane in Fayetteville, Pa. Police noted that other neighbors had similar occurrences, with officers checking the area and advising the night shift.Police and firefighters were called to a home reporting with an odor of smoke inside at 8:20 p.m. Aug. 20. An Orange Village fire engine was called in for mutual aid but released within 15 minutes once it was determined the odor was coming from an air conditioning unit.
