Vance during the most recent campaign-finance period for Ohio’s U.S. Senate race, Vance has more cash in his campaign bank account heading into the election’s home stretch, new campaign finance disclosures show.
During the same period, Vance’s campaign raised $6.9 million, including from affiliated committees, and spent $3.4 million. The Vance campaign’s biggest expense was the $1.8 million it spent on TV ads, as well as the $240,000 it spent on online advertising. The spending from national Republicans has put Vance on more even footing. Recent polls show Vance developing a narrow lead in the race, although one that falls within territory of being a statistical tie. Statewide political polls in general have a bad recent track record in Ohio, generally undercounting support for Republican candidates.to offset outside, pro-Vance Republican spending.
