Forecasters from the National Weather Service say some of the thunderstorms on Friday could become severe with 60 mph winds, dangerous lightning and small hail.
say thunderstorms could pop up in any part of New Jersey on Friday — mainly in the afternoon and evening — but they believe the strongest storms have a higher probability of targeting the state’s southern region.
Friday should start out with mostly clear skies in the morning, but a cold front is expected to move through our region and trigger rain showers and thunderstorms starting in the early afternoon, forecasters say. Some of the storms could become strong to severe.
