Severe thunderstorms are more likely in the northern half of New Jersey this afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service says

Southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph will gust as high as 25 mph.also says flight delays are possible at Newark Liberty International and Philadelphia International airports.
The day is starting off dry and sunny with highs expected to climb into the mid 70s, though showers could move in as soon as late morning, forecasters say.National Weather Service Rain should push off the coast by 8 p.m. and set up a cloudy, dry night with lows falling into the 50s. Dry, sunny conditions return on Thursday with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s before a shot a showers and thunderstorms on Friday. The weekend looks mainly tranquil with a pair of dry, sunny days with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. Forecasters haven’t ruled out a stray afternoon shower on Saturday.
