The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has issued high-risk recalls for over 10,000 pounds of pork products due to safety concerns. Impero Foods & Meats, Inc. recalled raw sausage not inspected by FSIS, while Ralph’s Packing Company recalled bologna products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service ( FSIS ) has announced a high-risk warning on more than 10,000 pounds of pork products across four states in two separate recalls. Baltimore-based Impero Foods & Meats, Inc. is recalling approximately 7,485 pounds of raw pork sausage products that were produced “without the benefit of federal inspection,” FSIS had received notice that products were being produced at a facility that had a suspended grant of inspection.

FSIS conducted surveillance and determined that the Old World Italian Sausage links and ropes were not inspected by FSIS, prompting the recall. The items affected were produced from October 3, 2024, through December 19, 2024, and contain the establishment number “EST. 10827.” Products were shipped in 10-pound cardboard boxes to restaurants and retail locations in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.FSIS conducted surveillance and determined that the Old World Italian Sausage links and ropes were not inspected by FSIS, prompting the recall.Meanwhile, in Oklahoma, Ralph’s Packing Company is recalling approximately 3,132 pounds of ready-to-eat pork and beef bologna products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen,The recalled meats include Ralph’s Circle R brand Garlic Bologna and Garlic Bologna with Jalapeños
