Longtime incumbent Sheila Jackson Lee and former Houston City Council Member Amanda Edwards are both in the running. "This race isn't about, you know, me or anyone else who's vying for the seat," Edwards said. "It's really about the people in this district."
Jackson Lee is seeking a 15th term in Congress. "I love this district. It is a district of neighborhoods," she said."It is unprecedented, quite frankly, to have a Governor as involved as he is ," Koenning said. "He is spending a lot of money."
