Are you ready for a weekly blast from the Seahawks teams of the past?
This will be a weekly article series throughout the season looking back on what happened for the Seattle Seahawks 40, 30, 20, and 10 years ago this week. We have three games once again this edition since the 2004 team is on bye. The lowlights are big games by opposing RBs Marcus Allen and Marshall Faulk who were problems in the passing game as well as the rushing game during their careers. At least we get to talk about a primetime win in 2014.
The only score of the 2nd Quarter was a 45-yard Kasay FG to make the score 10-8 at halftime. Marshall Faulk scored again in the 3rd Quarter for IND on a 1-yard run to put the Colts ahead 17-8. Seattle clawed within 2 points at 17-15 early in the 4th Quarter on a 30-yard TD pass from Rick Mirer to Kelvin Martin. Sadly, that was as close as they would get since both of their remaining 4th Quarter drives resulted in a turnover on downs. Rick Mirer was 20/38 for 186 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
