He's also charged with the theft of a high-end pocketbook from a consignment store in Englewood.and a luxury pocketbook from a high-end consignment shop in Englewood was arrested for shoplifting in Colorado two weeks ago and is now free on bail, authorities said. Stevan Milovanovic, 35, was arrested on Jan. 14 at the Walmart in Westminster, Colorado, after security stopped him leaving the store with nearly $1,000 worth of music, sunglasses and electronics tucked inside his puffer jacket, police said. Milovanovic allegedly had a stack of vinyl albums by top-selling artists Pink Floyd, Elvis Presley, Taylor Swift and others, plus a pair of expensive shades and a 128 gigabyte memory card, according to the police report. Westminster cops ran a background check and discovered a fugitive warrant that Englewood police issued after Milovanovic skipped out on a charge of stealing a luxury pocketbook from a high-end consignment store just before Christmas.captured the thief stuffing the instruments under his coat in a theft that took place just days after the Englewood incident. But after a change of heart, the alleged thief returned the mandolins days later with a note in which he apologized for being “drunk” at the time. Westminster police officer Lauren Brooks wrote in her report that Milovanovic said he was in America on a six-month work visa. He offered to pay for the pilfered merchandise after he was brought into the security office in handcuffs. “Stevan requested a ticket and told us he would pay right now,” Brooks wrote in the police report obtained by NJ Advance Media. “We explained to Stevan that that is not how the process works. I found he had a warrant out of Englewood Police Department in New Jersey for 2nd degree shoplifting which stated it was Full Extradition.” Milovanovic was charged with shoplifting and locked up in the Adams County Jail. Brooks said she contacted Englewood police who indicated they planned to extradite Milovanovic back to New Jersey. But according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Department, Milovanovic was released three days later on Jan. 17 after posting $1,500 bail on the shoplifting charge and $2,000 bail on the fugitive warrant. His whereabouts are now unknown. An Englewood police department spokesman would not comment on the case, except to say that Milovanovic was not in their custody. Milovanovic is scheduled to appear in Westminster Municipal Court on the shoplifting charge on Feb. 23. Milovanovic could still be extradited to New Jersey at a later date.
